College planning? Check out this summer reading list straight from #admissionsofficers & #collegecounselors. Throw a book or 2 in your beach-bag! #Collegeadmissions is starting to wrap up. ED/EA students will begin to hear in December. Final RD deadlines usually hit in January but well-prepared applicants have submitted well before that.
Now peak #graduateadmissions begins. It’s both similar and quite different from
the undergrad process. Part undergrad admissions/part job search, it takes a clear sense of direction and skills assessment to effectively market yourself while also rooting your desire to contribute to a given industry from a sense of personal narrative.
Just got word from a prospective client that my website is down. Admittedly, I’ve been so busy with my students that I haven’t been maintaining this page or my site very well. Please note that my contact information is working and I can be reached by phone or email. I can still take on a few clients depending on needs, so don’t hesitate to reach out. The consultation is free. And this photo captures the absolute essence of college admissions! Yes, really! 🏛📚📆
Here is more good information on deadlines and varying time zones. I have a lot of international students this year, so I’ve got so many time zones to keep track of! https://appsupport.commonapp.org/link/portal/33011/33013/Article/35/When-is-the-deadline-for-my-application-submission
appsupport.commonapp.org To meet an application deadline, you must submit your application materials by 11:59 pm on the deadline date posted on your Dashboard. The end of the deadline date is in your local time zone, not the college's time zone. Keep in mind, all timestamps are recorded in EST (US Eastern Standard Time). It...
An old but goodie in case anyone is wondering. https://m.facebook.com/commonapp/posts/10150333397750667
A November 1 deadline means that you can submit your application through 11:59 PM Eastern Time on November 1. So for those of you who thought you'd have to miss out on Halloween fun tonight, no worries: you can have your candy and ED too.
