Instead of playing, what do you think of spending our jazz jam time cooking up ways to destroy that Liberty Mutual guy and his stupid bird? Isn’t it insulting how little they think of us? These ads are insipid, moronic… not clever or smart or creative, just stupid. And ubiquitous!

Of course I know I mustn't sink to their level, but I need your help! Let’s leave the inanity behind, rise up, and take flight making great live music together!

It’s a good week for it:

Joining us THIS Sunday, September 13th, from 2-5pm at Minton’s Academy’s Studio M, will be an exciting house band guest performer, Paul Pieper of the Jazz Workshop! We’re also featuring Eugenio Ibarz on bass, and of course, sweet lil old you, with your axe and your songs and your little bit of uh uh.

I ask you to join us at Minton’s on Sunday, and to not go gently into that good night. Promise me you will mute the idiot commercial, and click “skip” to reach your musical dreams. Together let’s slay the emu of darkness and soar skyward upon the wings of a jazz eagle!

This month we’re featuring Trio LoCo as our house band, with Matt Trimboli on guitar, Eugenio Ibarz on bass, and Gary Gnu on drums... wait we mean Mr. Dan! We’ll provide drums, piano, amps, cables, mics, snacks, coffee, and a great space to play. Let’s keep the streak going and shout out the good gnews!
