Please take a few moments to carefully read the information below. It contains important details to help your student get ready for the upcoming school year. 🦅

📚✏️ The first day of school (August 24) is right around the corner! It’s never too early to start getting prepared for an exciting new school year!

Be sure to join us for Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 19, from 4:00–7:00 PM. It’s a great opportunity to meet teachers, explore classrooms, and get ready for a fantastic year ahead!

Congratulations to our Excellent Eagles !

Our Excellent Eagle award for 1st grade goes to Ryan Long.
Ryan is an awesome first grader! He has a positive attitude and a big heart. He loves to learn and he is kind and encouraging to his teachers and friends.
Our Excellent Eagle award for 2nd grade goes to Presley Earp.
Presley is great about asking questions to help her be a better learner. She is kind to everyone. She is very well behaved and is always ready to help her classmates.
Our Excellent Eagle award for 4th grade goes to Laney Woodard.
Laney works hard in reading class. She is very respectful to her teachers and her peers. She is also willing to help anytime her teachers need her. Keep being a SOAR student!
Our Staff Excellent Eagle awards go to the 4th grade team of Ms.
Fowler and Ms. Rowland.
Thank you so much Ms. Rowland for stepping up to the plate to be a part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Ms. Fowler always goes above and beyond for her students and for Waccamaw. She is well deserving of this award!

1st graders Kaison Brooks and Haven Owens.
Kasion comes to school each day and is ready to learn. He loves learning new things and follows the school rules and expectations. Ms. Nardozzi is so proud of him for being an excellent eagle.

Haven is a fantastic first grader! She loves school and she loves to learn. She is respectful and kind to everyone.

2nd grade- Junior Garcia.
Junior works really hard. He is always kind to his friends. He can work with any student in the classroom and he is always well behaved.

5th grade goes to Anastasia White.
Ana is always willing to be a helpful friend. She is super nice and loved by her peers and teachers. Keep being positive.

Our Staff Excellent Eagle awards go to Ms. Crystal Davis and Ms. Brandi Thompson.

Mrs. Davis makes learning fun for her students! She is always doing hands-on experiments in science. Her passion for math and science makes students love those subjects as well. She is definitely an excellent Eagle!

Ms. Thompson is a great custodian & bus diver. She's always here and she always gives it 100%!

Congratulations to our Waccamaw EXCELLENT EAGLES!!! We’ve had some recent nominations and want to get them all in by the end of the school year.

2nd grade- Landon Timm
Landon is always kind to his friends and teachers. He works really hard on his assignments. He always tries his best.
2nd grade-Trentyn Webster
Trentyn is an excellent first grader! He comes to school each day with a positive attitude and he's ready to learn. He always congratulates others when they are successful, and he is eager to help wherever he is needed.
3rd grade- Hattie Brown
Hattie is a very hardworking student. She is eager to complete assignments and she always tries her best. She is a joy to teach!!

Our Staff Excellent Eagle award goes to the 3rd grade team of Ms. Raynor and Ms. McLamb.
When Ms. Hartle joined the Waccamaw team back in December, (a hectic month as is), those two went out of their way to be extra kind and welcoming! She appreciates them so much!

1st grade- Genesis Verduzco.
Genesis always comes to school with a smile on her face. She works hard every day in intervention and models Excellent Eagle behavior.
2nd grade- Sophia Torres
Sophia's such an incredible student who always helps out in the classroom with cleaning, helping her peers, and anything that she's asked to do. She is a very sweet, bright, young student who loves learning and truly soars as an Excellent Eagle!
5th grade -Avery Combs
Avery comes to school every day with a positive attitude. She is organized and very responsible, completing all of her assignments on time. She sets a great example for her peers of what being an Excellent Eagle looks like!

Our Staff Excellent Eagle awards go to Mrs. A-Z .
Mrs. A-Z serves as a mentor for both a Beginning Teacher and a colleague. She consistently teaches beyond the curriculum, including teaching and modeling social skills. She helps her students to be better citizens.
