🌟 D.A.R.E. is officially underway at JMM! 🌟

Our 5th grade Patriots kicked off their first day of the D.A.R.E. program with SRO Simmons leading the way! We are excited for our students to begin this journey of learning about making positive choices, building confidence, handling peer pressure, and staying safe.

A huge thank you to SRO Simmons for investing in our students and helping them develop the skills to make smart decisions both in and out of the classroom!

We can't wait for all the great lessons and experiences ahead! ❤️💙

We are excited to bring a little extra Christmas magic to Jessie Mae Monroe Elementary this holiday season with our FIRST Festival of Trees!
We need the help of our amazing JMM families, staff, community members, and local businesses to make this event special!

We are looking for donations of new or gently used Christmas trees.
We are accepting ornaments, lights, ribbon, tree skirts, and other Christmas decorations.
We are also looking for volunteers, families, groups, and businesses who would like to decorate a tree!

Whether you donate a tree, share some decorations, or bring your creativity and decorate a tree, you can help us transform JMM into a beautiful holiday wonderland for our students and families to enjoy!

🚒🔥 Fire Prevention Day at JMM! 🔥🚒

A HUGE thank you to the Grissettown Fire Department for spending time with our K–2 and EC students today for Fire Prevention Day!

Our students loved learning all about fire safety from Lt. Leonard, FF Curtis, and FF Barnes. They also brought along their super cool green rescue truck for our students to see up close! 💚🚒

And, of course, one of the biggest highlights was when they turned on the flashing lights AND the siren! 🚨 Our students absolutely loved it!

We are so thankful for the incredible support of our community partners who take the time to educate, encourage, and create special memories for our students.

We are so grateful to our WBHS athletes and coaches for spending the morning with our scholars! Their energy, encouragement, and school spirit brought so much excitement to our campus.
We honestly couldn’t tell who had more fun—the high school students or our elementary scholars!
Thank you, WBHS, for being such wonderful role models and for making this morning so special. We loved having you at Jessie Mae!
