We’d like to share Trish’s story because it’s a reminder that dyslexia doesn’t just affect children. And, it’s never too late to find the right support.
Trish struggled with dyslexia for nearly 35 years. While she was diagnosed young, she wasn’t given the support she needed. She managed to graduate high school but then dropped out of college multiple times, too frustrated to continue.
Then, she started the Barton Reading & Spelling System.
Six months later, she was required to give a speech in front of over 400 people. Before Barton, she would have refused because her reading difficulties were too severe.
This time, she gave the speech and received a standing ovation.
In her own words: “If only it had been explained this way when I was in school, I might not have struggled so much.”
