Pomona Instrumental Music

A note from Mr. Solis:
I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for such a wonderful year! Although it was a short and crazy year with its ups and downs, I would not have wanted it any other year. I have a couple of groups of people I want to thank before I leave. First of all, thank you to the amazing Instrumental Music community for welcoming me and making me feel right at home from day one. Thank you to all of the parents for entrusting me to teach your students, it has been an honor seeing them grow both as musicians as well as people. Thank you to the students for allowing some random young guy come in and teach them. For sticking with music and going on this wild rollercoaster ride that was 2021-2022. Thank you for every concert, competition and rehearsal, thank you for all of the effort all of you put into this year and for all of the wonderful moments both in and out of class. And lastly, thank you to the amazing Pomona Instrumental Music Boosters, who supported me every step of the way since day one. I would not have gotten here without you and all that you do for the program, the school and our students. I will dearly miss all of you and PHS and wish all the best as you move forward into the future.

Playing Pomp and Circumstance this morning at the NAAC for Pomona's class of 2022. A string quartet of seniors also played the National Anthem.

Pomona's Chamber Orchestra & Jazz Band opened for the JeffCo Schools Foundation High School Art Exhibition Awards Program at the Arvada Center last night.

The Jazz Band got to participate in the UNC Jazz Festival over the weekend. They performed, got a clinic & heard some great jazz!

Our next restaurant night is Thursday, April 28th at Yogurtland (7947 Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada). Stop by for some froyo any time between 12pm and 9pm. Don't forget to mention that you are with the Pomona Music Boosters!

3 Pomona students will be playing in the All County Jazz Concert Friday night at 6:30 at Green Mountain High School in Lakewood. (A streaming option is also offered.)
