Generous donors to Seeds are helping relieve the suffering in Kakuma Refugee Camp where people are starving after USAID was abolished. Leaders prioritized 70 vulnerable families to receive the flour and oil for bread and cash to purchase beans and other critical food supplies. You can help by donating to seedsofsouthsudan.org/how-to-help/donate and specify on Zeffy that your gift is for Kakuma. Thank you.

Seeds Chef Anoon Kuol was able to offer three kinds of meat at the Day celebration, thanks to a generous donation from a long-time sponsor. His gift was so large, Seeds was able to add extra food to a second celebration after Christmas and a third "Back to School" meal after New Year's Day. Our Roots Academy students returned to school January 6 and the high school students are returning over several days. Thanks to all our donors in 2025!

Congratulations to university grads Kuany Deng Majok and Abit Atem Dau Kuany ("Kwine" - center left and right) for earning a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi. Both need to complete an attachment " (internship) with a law firm. Abit has been serving with a Kenyan law firm for several months. Qualified attorneys are really needed in South Sudan where corruption is a problem.

Thanks to all supporters who have donated to Seeds for Giving Tuesday and Colorado Gives Day. Seeds had a Very Good month!

Four of the 15 Seeds high school grads attended a welcome ceremony with the elders at the Guolyar Internally Displaced Persons Camp. The grads are spending a service year in South Sudan. They are helping teach the children in the camp and raise crops. This Seeds tradition helps our students reconnect with South Sudanese culture and see the challenges they will face in their home country. Please remember Seeds on by donating via coloradogives.org by December 9. The CGD foundation augments donations from an incentive fund.
