Witches and wizards welcome! Join us for a Magically Mindful Gathering! This will be an event held at the beautiful treehouse-like space at Archipelago Attic, right across from the Downtown Aquarium, and is best for children ages 5 to 11. It will be held on Tuesday, July 19th, from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Your child will make wands, create potions and slime, and learn how to set intentions and create abundance in their life. We will get out into the world, moving our bodies through yoga, exploration and running games. We will learn how to be one with nature, and we will plant our own magical herb gardens to take home. Additionally, children will learn how to work together in small groups, how to rise like phoenixes through any challenge, how to record their thoughts and feelings through art projects, and so much more! We can't wait to create magic with you! Sign up on our website today (website address in the comments)! 🙏💖

Spring is upon us, and it is time to celebrate abundance, life, rebirth, and growth! During these walks we will observe the beginning signs of change and growth in nature, and we will talk about our feelings along the way. Children will create an observational journal and will reflect on what they see and how they feel, and they will have the opportunity to share if they so choose. We will also create impactful, measurable actions to help heal our environment, practice yoga, and of course take some time to run and play! Walks will be around Sloan's Lake in Edgewater select Saturday mornings in April and May, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This event is just right for children ages 5 to 10 years old. Space is limited, so don't delay in signing your child(ren) up! 🙏💖

Let your children dash in to the delights of the season and give yourself a much needed moment of rest after the holidays with our Wee Winter Wonders Workshop. This will be a daytime event for children, ages 5 to 11, on December 27th from 11am to 1pm.
At this event, children will learn how to be mindful and at peace by learning how to focus their thoughts through meditation, stretching, drawing, and journaling. We'll talk about diversity and create marshmallow snowflakes. Each child will produce their own mindful mantra, and we will be painting mindful mantra mugs to take home; but first, we will drink hot chocolate and cider from them and learn about the importance of light and darkness. Additionally, we'll learn about some of the countries around the world who celebrate with festivals of light during these long, dark, winter months.
This program will be hosted at Archipelago Attic, located next to the Downtown Aquarium! This is a gorgeous, treehouse-like space, that your child will surely enjoy and love to explore!
Space is limited, and spots are filling up quickly, so sign up now, and give your child the gift of mindfulness this holiday season! 🙏💖

There is beauty all around us just waiting to be discovered. When you wake up and greet the morning with your child(ren), take a moment to give gratitude for one beautiful thing you see, feel, smell, hear, or taste. Consider choosing a "color of the day" with your child. Whatever color you choose, as you navigate through your day, look for this color wherever you go. You will likely be so surprised by how much this color will show up for you when you're being mindful of it. This will delight your little one, too, and help them to have a yay day, full of discoveries and play!

It is officially Autumn! A beautiful time of year to reflect, let go, and create. During this colorful season, there are limitless opportunities to connect with your child. Here are but a few suggestions for you and your family:
The sun is high in the sky, go outside and talk to your child about Sun. Talk about the lightness in life and then the darkness, both are valuable and necessary to be whole. Look at your physical shadows on the sidewalk, trace them with chalk, and then write or draw uplifting words and pictures inside your tracing.
Talk about change and look for it in nature all around you. The leaves are changing, the weather feels crisp, the sky becomes darker earlier. Change is constant, and it can seem scary. Make it less scary by talking about it often.
Autumn is a time for harvesting and giving. If you have a garden, harvest those veggies, make some tasty treats, and give them to people in your community who are in need.
These are but a few ideas to try with your family. To learn more, head to our website.
Autumn nature walks are available in October and November! Sign up now, as spots are limited.

Families are welcome to join, as well! All ages welcome! Walks will happen select Sundays in October and November from 10am to 11:30am. Reserve your spot today (🔗 in bio). 🙏💖

To teach children about kindness, read the lovely picture book titled, "Each Kindness" by Jacqueline Woodson. In this activity, students will be able to learn about the ripple effects of kindness. In the book, students are not very kind to a student who seems different, and one person learns in the end how her kindness could have made a difference. She learns that kindness is like a stone being dropped into water. The stone creates ripples that can impact the whole stream.
After reading this story, show how water creates ripples by allowing students to tangibly touch a stone and drop it into water to see for themselves how the stone creates the kindness ripples.
Finally, you can create a collaborative art project where each friend creates a concentric circle, using oil pastels and water colors (or any other materials you have available). As a group, you can look at the beauty of the circles together, and it can be displayed for all to see and to be reminded of the power of kindness.
