Summer is winding down and programming begins for us on September 9th!

It's hard to believe, but last week marked the final week of summer programming!

As a treat to our wonderful campers, we made it Campers' Choice Week — and they picked all their favorites: making fishing rods and heading to the creek, roasting s'mores by the fire, face painting, playing a dragon game, crafting, modeling with clay, washing the van, and one last trip to Crystal Falls!

These campers were sweet, adorable, and just plain fun to be around. We are so grateful to have spent the summer with them.

Community days are always open to families with children ages 4-14. You do not need to be enrolled at SAU! These days are fun, connecting, and enriching. Bushcraft Week! This new camp was a major success! All week, campers worked on their shelters, learned how to whittle, and practiced cooking over the fire! We made pancakes, potatoes and leeks, acorn squash and of course s’mores. These are some very self-sufficient kiddos!

We follow an emergent curriculum both during the school year and at camp! While we always have our themes and focus areas, we stay open to the ideas and interests of the kids because their ideas add so much fun and depth to what we do. Why emergent curriculum? Because, you know, when you're interested in something, you will definitely do what it takes to learn about it! Kids are naturally curious and creative. We respect that.

Mythical Woodland Creatures is one of our camper's all time favorite weeks of summer! That's why we keep bringing this very popular camp back year after year! We had such a magical week creating fairy and gnome homes with special doors, seeking out fairies, and exploring the magical Neverdun Farm!

Art Adventures Camp was so much fun! So much creativity! Our activities included: wool felting worry stones, writing with a quill and ink, print making, sculpting with clay, loose parts creations, and bubble art. We were lucky to have an amazing group of young artists during this camp week!
