✨NEW STAFF WELCOME: Jim Edwards! ✨

“I am a born again believer recently retired after just over 40 years in Information Technology and Information Technology Management! After substitute teaching last school year, I was asked to teach a few hours 2 days a week, on American Government in the first semester and Dave Ramsey's Economics for the second semester. I never dreamed I would be led into a teaching role after retirement but was encouraged by my wife to give it a shot at ACS. So far it has been an enjoyable experience for me. I told my wife I would not consider teaching anywhere else but in a Christian school. I like working with young minds in light of Biblical Truths.”

✨ NEW STAFF WELCOME: Jodi Haskins ✨

“My name is Jodi Haskins. My husband, John, and I have 5 children and just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary this past Feb! I was a homeschool and medical mom for 23 years. I am super excited to be back at ACS this school year working in a new role - teaching Jr. High and High School American history and Jr. High Bible. As John and I are in the beginning stages of empty nesting, I still have a passion to help train up the younger generation to live out God's calling on their lives. I love working with the youth and watching them grow up and be all that God has called and created them to be. There is no greater joy than to hear and watch our children walk in truth. 3 John 1:4. A few things that I love about ACS are the focus that is placed on disciplining the entire student, the emphasis to know and love Jesus and others, and to be a community of believers not just by name but in living a surrendered life. It's great to be back, ACS family!”

✨”New” Staff Welcome: Ally McLain✨

I am excited to be stepping into a new role this year at ACS. This will be my fifth year serving in our Early Education department. ACS is such a special place that truly embodies what is means to follow Jesus, build disciples, and love each other like a family. I will still be teaching in our Pre-K4 classroom this year, as well as Directing our Preschool program. This age group truly has my heart.

Our summer has been very exciting with recently adopting our fourth child, Ary. I have four children who all attend ACS, and I’m so thankful that our babies get to experience everything ACS has to offer. I look forward to meeting all of our new families, serving our Early Education team, and all of you.

✨ Our administration team spent 3 days at a Herzog Foundation leadership team retreat! We’re coming back excited and refreshed! We can’t wait for our teacher training this coming week, and for our students to return soon! ✨

Calling all JH/HS athletes and parents! Please make plans to join us a week from today for the annual ACS athletic orientation, August 4th, at 6pm. We ask for all JH/HS athletes to be in attendance and at least one parent. We’ll cover the need to know details and jump start another great year of Conquering Rider athletics!

Each year ACS picks a word that we feel captures where God is leading us for the coming year. Our word for 2026-2027 is PRAISE. Here is our prayer for the year.

If there is breath in my lungs, let it be filled with praise.

May my days be filled with joyous praise for the things You have done, the prayers You have answered, the mercies You have shown, and the victories You have already secured. May my praise also rise in expectation for the things yet to come, trusting that the God who was faithful yesterday remains faithful forever.

May my nights be filled with the praise of a warrior, armed and ready for battle. When darkness surrounds me, let praise be my weapon. When fear whispers, let worship answer. When the enemy accuses, let thanksgiving silence every lie. Let songs in the night become declarations of Your promises and Your unfailing love.

Teach my heart to offer praise in every season. Let my praise be marked by hands raised in thanksgiving, knees bent in surrender, shouts of joy in victory, and honest cries for help in weakness. Let praise be found on my lips when I understand and when I do not, when I am rejoicing and when I am waiting, when I am celebrating and when I am enduring. For You are worthy not only because of what You do, but because of who You are.

Awaken within me a new song born from living encounters with You. Let spontaneous praise rise from my spirit like a river that cannot be contained. Give me songs for every season and melodies that testify of Your goodness. Let new songs erupt from places where old sorrows once lived. Turn my mourning into dancing, my heaviness into rejoicing, and my lament into thanksgiving. Clothe me with gladness that my soul may sing praise and not be silent.

May praise become my first response and my lasting response. When blessings come, I will praise You. When challenges arise, I will praise You. When answers arrive, I will praise You. When I must wait, I will praise You. Let praise be the language of my faith, the posture of my heart, and the atmosphere of my life.

For You are holy and worthy of praise. Great is Your faithfulness. Great is Your mercy. Great is Your power. Great is Your love. From the rising of the sun to its setting, from my first breath to my last, may my life declare Your goodness.
