Please join us in celebrating the graduation of Noah Olguin from Texas Tech University in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. Noah will be swiftly moving onto his Master’s program abroad in Graphic Design this fall and is attending the Florence Institute of Design (International) located in Florence, Italy! Noah’s long-term career goals include going into coding and web design, and possibly become a professor in graphic design or in motion graphics.

Noah offers advice to new scholars saying, “Expand your friendships and try creating them while you’re in the class room! Making connections through people who share the same program as you can make many things easier for yourself while you’re attending college. Make sure to get involved with different student organizations, it can help broaden your perspective! Also try to get an internship while you’re still in college, if it’s applicable for your degree path, this helps to make the transition out of college much easier!”

Noah says his favorite memories from his college experience were getting to develop and complete his senior portfolio and being able to attend the art show that displayed his hard work! He also really enjoyed his college field trips; he says this makes learning much more enjoyable at times and gives you the real-life experience you may have never gotten without it.

He recommends getting to understand your financial aid, and to ask for help when and where you need it! He says, “The Chase family has helped me establish a great foundation for my higher education and I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to receive this scholarship, build these connections, and spread ‘doing good things’ across other communities!”

Congratulations on your graduation, Noah! We are so happy and proud to have been a part of your journey and achievements. Continue to do good and spread your positive and infectious energy everywhere you go!

Please join us in celebrating the graduation of Justin Weddige from Ottawa University (Kansas) in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science. He wasted no time following his undergraduate commencement and began attending an intensive two-year, 8-member cohort, Masters program at the University of Tulsa for Athletic Training.

Justin was a team leader at our New Scholar Orientation and Community Service Week for the past three summers. In between community service jobs, something he shared with his team of new Chase Scholars was, “Start on day one building relationships. Meet everyone you possibly can — Professors, the person sitting next to you in class, your dorm neighbors, the person sitting at the kiosk when you enter the cafeteria, anyone and everyone. Learn their names and build your network. You never know where those connections can lead.”

As a collegiate athlete, many of his fondest memories revolve around his sport. His tournament roommate senior year became a best friend and the positive vibes that they generated together helped pump the team up on tournament days. His Athletic Trainer mentor, Trevor, remains a confidant and continued resource. He loves being able to learn something in class and call Trevor later in the evening to bounce ideas off of him regarding a newly discussed technique or philosophy. He’s thankful for the professional friendship he’s gained through the mentorship.

He would like to extend the following to the Chase Family, “From my experience, it’s clear that they love kids and want to make future leaders. They are giving opportunities to people they don’t even know. I thank you for your dedication, support, love, and guidance. You don’t know how much your help has meant to me and to other students that you’ve helped.”

Congratulations on your graduation, Justin, we are proud to have been a part of your Braves adventures and achievements! Continue to do good work in the classroom and on the field.

Please join us in celebrating Presley Skinner and her May 2026 graduation from New Mexico State University, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. She continues to work on completing her Master's degree at NMSU while working for Molzen Corbin & Associates in Las Cruces this summer. She has enjoyed having a variety of summer engineering internships over the past few years, but is finding her current work the most enjoyable so far. She’s particularly fond of being out on field sites.

Presley offers the following pieces of wisdom to the new class of Chase Scholars: “Find an organization on your campus that is related to your major and JOIN! Many organizations have a community service component to them and you won’t be disappointed in making new friends and learning more about your new community that you are now a part of. If you enjoy sports, join an intramural team to channel some of your weekly academic stressors.”

She will miss the “Keep State Great” and “The Big Event” community service outings, each fall and spring, along with the after outings that organically transpired when the work was done. Often the group would enjoy breakfast together or find a coffee shop to hang out at, a great way to start the day!

She would like to extend to the Chase Family, “I can’t say thank you enough for believing in students from Artesia High School as much as you do. I wouldn’t be an engineer without your financial support and the unwavering generosity. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!”

Due to attending an affordable university and taking full advantage of various renewable scholarships, Presley is proud to be ending this undergraduate chapter completely debt-free.

Congratulations on your graduation, Presley, we are proud to have been a part of your Aggie adventures and achievements! Continue to do good work.

Please join us in celebrating the graduation of Aubree Ivy from Texas Tech University in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Information Technology. She accepted a position, prior to graduation, and has recently begun with Lubbock Independent School District as a member of their technology team. She looks forward to working with the teachers and staff at the three school buildings that she’ll be assigned to this coming school year.

She would like to offer to the new class of Chase Scholars: “Get involved in something, it’s a great way to find your community and people. Don’t hesitate to start a conversation with someone, you never know where it might lead. Office hours – use them! 😊”

She takes with her fond memories of fall football games, particularly the 2022 home game vs. Texas. It was a big win and it may have been the last time the students were able to storm the field! Memorable to say the least. Also an enjoyable time on campus, the annual Carol of Lights.

She looks forward to seeing what her continued involvement with “The Way” looks like as she gets to remain living in the Lubbock area. She would like to extend the following to the Chase Family, “Thank you for your generosity and dedication to helping graduating students from Artesia High School. Your investment in our education goes beyond financial assistance – it opens doors, creates opportunities, and allows students like me to pursue my goals with fewer obstacles.”

Congratulations on your graduation, Aubree, we are proud to have been a part of your Red Raider adventures and achievements! Continue to do good work.

Please join us in celebrating the graduation of Chloe Yates from Texas Tech University in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. She has accepted a position teaching Kindergarten in Amarillo, TX for the upcoming 26-27 school year and will be brainstorming all summer long how to best setup her classroom! As if she doesn’t have enough going on for this first teaching year, she was also ecstatic to learn that she was accepted into a Texas Tech graduate program to begin this Fall ’26. Wow, way to stay eager Chloe!

She would like to remind the new class of Chase Scholars, “You may or may not make a best friend(s) your first year. It’s awesome if you do find a best friend(s) but don’t put so much pressure on the situation. It’s ok that your friend group changes from first year to other years. Continue to put yourself out there, you’ll find your people!”

She takes with her fond memories of fall football games and all the buzz that surrounds game day. She enjoyed when the College of Education hosted the “Donuts with the Dean” events, she enjoyed the networking and the donuts!! 😊

She would like to extend the following to the Chase Family, “It is truly amazing what you do! Artesia is really lucky to have this program. It helps with the transition to a new town with the comfort of familiar faces. Thank you so much!”

Due to earning and maintaining various renewable scholarships, Chloe is proud to be entering the workforce debt free. Congratulations on your graduation, Chloe, we are proud to have been a part of your Red Raider adventures and achievements! Continue to do good work, your students will be blessed to have your guidance and support.

Please join us in congratulating Carley Simer on her May 2026 graduation from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She will be taking a gap year from her studies to gain more shadowing experience in the local medical fields and will be applying for the 2027 medical school cycle. She is eager to see what this next year’s experiences provide her.

Carley had the unique experience of going to college far away from home, she’d like to offer to this year’s new class of Chase Scholars who will be doing the same, “Embrace being away from home – it’s a good personal challenge! Take advantage of the fresh new start. Get involved in something, it’s a great way to meet people. Try to find something that is related to your major, it’s a nice way to start building your resume. Go work out, move your body! Welcome the brain break.”

She will miss dressing up for Halloween with her friends and all the fun that the planning entailed. Fall, in general, will be missed as football rules in the fall! “Go Bama, Roll Tide!”

Her sentiments to the Chase Family: “I would like to thank the Chase Family from the bottom of my heart for their generosity. Being so far away from Artesia the past four years has shown me how unique the opportunity to be an AHS graduate and Chase Scholar truly is. Not many students are supported the way the Chase Foundation supports us here in Artesia, and I feel very fortunate to be a Scholar and a Bulldog.”

Due to earning and maintaining various renewable scholarships, Carley is proud to be moving from her undergrad into her next phase completely debt free. Congratulations on your graduation, Carley! We are proud to have been a part of your undergraduate adventures and achievements! Continue to do good work.
