Personalized K–9 Academic Support That Helps Homeschool Students Build Confidence, Master Core Skills, and Thrive

A small-group learning experience designed to give families peace of mind and students the individual attention they need to succeed

Welcome to THRIVE805, a small-group learning program designed to provide students and parents with a supportive, structured, and personalized educational experience.

Founded in 2020, THRIVE805 began as a response to the challenges of distance learning and has continued to serve homeschool families by offering individualized academic instruction and encouragement. Students benefit from a small learning environment where their unique strengths, needs, and learning styles are recognized and supported.

About the Educator
I am Laurie Knotts, founder and director of THRIVE805. I have more than 35 years of experience teaching, mentoring, and supporting children and young adults ages 5–18.

My background includes:
● Classroom teaching experience in a private school setting
● More than six years directing my own small group learning program
● Private tutoring and individualized academic instruction
● Over 35 years of experience working with youth through educational and mentoring programs
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Louisiana Baptist University and have extensive experience creating engaging learning environments where students feel supported, capable, and encouraged to succeed.

Academic Focus
THRIVE805 provides instruction and support in all academic areas including:
Math

● Building confidence and understanding concepts
● Supporting individual learning needs

● Reading comprehension

● Building lifelong reading skills

Students receive instruction appropriate for their grade level while also receiving support based on their individual academic goals.
