Asbury Christian Preschool & Clubhouse is looking for a responsible, energetic, and caring high school senior or adult caregiver to join our Clubhouse staff!

This is a great opportunity for a student who enjoys working with children and is interested in gaining experience in education, childcare, or a related field.

Position Details:

* Monday–Friday
* Approximately 2:00–5:00/6:00 p.m. (6pm one day a week)
* Work with students in Kindergarten through 5th grade
* Assist with afternoon care, activities, play, and supervision
* Be part of a fun, supportive team!

’Twas the week before school, and early next morn,
The teachers are coming, answering the calls.
Their summer bags packed and their flip-flops away,
They knew that their training would start on Monday!

With coffee in hand and notebooks nearby,
They greeted each other with smiles and a sigh.
There were meetings and trainings and schedules to see,
And plenty of plans for the year yet to be.

They’ll listen, they’ll learn, they’ll discuss every rule,
All dreaming of children returning to school.
Then off to their classrooms the teachers will fly,
For there’s so much to do and time slipping by.

The bulletin boards are all waiting quite bare,
Soon covered with colors and creativity there.
The cubbies get labeled, the tables wiped clean,
And classrooms transformed to a welcoming scene.

There’s crayons and pencils and books by the score,
With name tags and artwork adorning each door.
The centers at ready, the toys put in place,
Each room soon becoming a warm, happy space.

They’ll straighten each bookshelf and fluff every chair,
Making certain that everything shows love and care.
For next week the children will walk through the door,
With tote bags and smiles, and adventures galore!

But first comes our Thursday, a sweet, special treat,
When teachers and families once again meet.
An Ice Cream Social! What better could be?
With scoops full of sweetness and smiles full of glee!

The children will visit their classrooms with pride,
Meet teachers and friends who’ll be right by their side.
With sprinkles and laughter and ice cream in hand,
We’ll welcome our families, the very best plan!

Then soon it’ll be time for the big school-day start,
A year full of learning, of growing, and heart.
The teachers are ready, the classrooms are bright,
Every detail prepared to make everything right.

So here’s to our teachers, our wonderful crew,
And all of the amazing things they will do.
May this year bring us laughter and memories so dear,

* Hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
* Be committed to providing a high-quality, developmentally appropriate education for preschool-aged children.
* Foster a warm, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment.
* Work collaboratively as part of a supportive teaching team.
* Be dedicated and available to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
