Brant Nielsen and Alison Whitacre are excited to announce a merger of Cornerstone Project Consulting and Nielsen Development Group under the company umbrella of NDG.

Alison has become Construction Operations Director for NDG. Alison’s more than 30 years of industry experience will allow her to provide customer support in sync with NDG’s core values.

#3 - Alison Whitacre, Construction Operations Director, NDG Solutions: Having earned her degree from the University of Michigan, Alison settled in construction management, initially working for a development firm in Washington, DC. She then moved to Annapolis where she became Vice President for a residential builder, ultimately landing as a Project Manager for a residential and commercial construction company for 10 years, prior to starting her own company in 1999. Alison has over 30 years of experience in project management and facilitation. She has now moved on to become Construction Operations Director at NDG Solutions. (https://ndg.solutions/)

Great event for the Interior Design and Architecture department at Restoration Hardware last evening. Students were shown how RH works with interior designers who have independent businesses and/or the advantages of considering a career with them. Bath FF & E were on display as well as stunning furnishings, lighting and area rugs. RH explained how they work compatibly with your own subcontractors. Thank you Restoration Hardware!

All active Design District Members are invited to attend the Annual Member Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, March 1st from 11:30AM - 1:30PM at Cafe Mezzanotte.

Members will have an opportunity to network and listen to guest speaker, Maureen Edwards, discuss Branding vs. Marketing while enjoying a delicious buffet meal. A cash bar will be available.
Members will receive one complimentary lunch. Additional lunches can be purchased for $65 each.

Note: GADD has developed an Annual Scholarship Fund "The Scholarship for Skilled Trades & Design/Build Industry" with the Anne Arundel Community College Foundation. Design Hopping at Kitchen Encounters on a very rainy night. Mark White, owner and Annapolis Home's lifetime achievement winner for 2022 graciously opened his doors after hours for 20+ students. It was a great evening of information and networking with graduates living their successful design lives and Mark, our first Kitchen and Bath instructor in our program.

All student NKBA members are also GADD members (Greater Annapolis Design District) You are welcome to join us at our membership drive event. Check with Professor Haddock for any questions you may have. It is a great networking opportunity.

Our annual Membership Drive & Networking Event is being held at Neo Pizza & Taphouse on Thursday, November 3rd from 5:30-8:00pm where current and potential Members are invited to meet, greet and socialize.

Please feel free to bring a guest that may be interested in learning more about the Greater Annapolis Design District (GADD).

There will be appetizers and a cash bar.

Each year the GADD conducts their annual Membership Drive when current members are invited to renew their membership and new members are invited to join. Please note that all memberships expire on December 31.
