We don't do screens... BUT we do listen to audio books!!

That is where The Adventum comes in!!

The Adventum is a dramatic audio adventure of the Biblical Stories.

Sound effects and voices make the stories from the Bible come to life as you hear Adam speak in the garden amidst all the animals... Or the torrential rains and Noah voice as they are on the ark.

This is not low grade and corny but quality audio.

One thing to keep in mind when listening, as in any sort of Christian Entertainment, is that there is artistic license that has to be given since the Bible does not give explicit and intricate details that are needed in order to make it come to life. So, this isn't a word for word rendering of the Bible, and there are details and interpretations that the writings, voice actors, and sound effects technicians add for the purpose of bringing life to the stories.

While in the car, we not only had great material to listen to, but it also led our family in discussions about different parts of the Bible.

We decided to try and make some

Salted Caramel Ice Cold Brew

Sooooo stinkin' good

Here's how we made it:
Caramel in cup
Ice
Caramel Cold Brew from Wandering Bear Coffee Company
Half and half
Spooned in frothed half and half
***Salt*** this makes it
Caramel

And a Best Mom Friend to share it with 😉

Serious... I'm so glad this playdate got this much better with coffee ☺️ The kiddos may have played with the extra ice cubes too 😂

Palau (amazingly flavorful Pakistani rice)
Greek Yoghurt for stripes

The rice is leftover from dinner the other night. Adding yoghurt to rice is normal in most countries (just not ours 😂) but I love it now. It is very helpful to cool it down both temperature🌡️wise and spicy 🥵 wise!

And hello live cultures 😉

The yoghurt also is like a fun dip for the celery and tomatoes too!

Summer time fun included homemade pizzas for lunch this week thanks to our friends at Bakeries!

Easiest and most delicious homemade pizza ever!!!
(Flatbread is the best base for these pizzas!)

✅Toufayan Flatbread
✅Pizza sauce

✅Pepperoni smiley face 😊

✅Bake at 400 for 5-10 minutes

I've been talking with a friend about teaching children to read, phonics, and literacy in general. I think I'd like to make a series of videos to help parents learn how to teach their children on youtube... Whether supporting what they're learning at school or home educating.

Loved celebrating my nephew's Graduation this past weekend! He is going to go to WyoTech where he will major in Automotive Technology with a business credential. Soooo... Of course at, speed, tires, and checkered flags was the theme!

Squeeze them tight
Enjoy each day...

It can be so hard when they're little and they whine or fight...
I've been struggling with feeling purpose as I clean the dishes again and change another diaper...

But there are many parents who would give anything to just have one more day with their child, and my heart grieves.

Grieves for those parents.
Grieves for my own attitudes.

Tomorrow is not a guarantee...
