Dr. Brittany Elmore brings more than a decade of experience in academic advising, student services, and higher education administration. She is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences and helping students navigate their educational journeys while empowering them to achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals.
Brittany began her career in higher education in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she developed a passion for supporting students and contributing to the educational process. Since then, she has built a career focused on fostering student success through advising, academic affairs, and teaching.
She earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership from Gratz College, where her doctoral research explored online academic spaces and student engagement in non-traditional learning environments. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from Eastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, which she proudly boasts as our nation’s “First and Oldest HBCU”.
Dr. Elmore is passionate about helping students navigate academic challenges, gain clarity on their goals, and build confidence as they develop into successful professionals and lifelong learners. Her approach centers on meeting students where they are, providing thoughtful guidance, and encouraging them to recognize their own potential.
Outside of her professional work, Brittany is committed to community engagement through volunteer service and mentorship. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, reflecting her belief that scholarship and service extend beyond the classroom. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cats Olivia and Oliver, tackling DIY projects, reading Toni Morrison, listening to Stevie Wonder, and unwinding with documentaries or classic episodes of The Walking Dead.
Brittany is excited to join the SASP team and Anne Arundel Community College community! She looks forward to supporting students as they pursue their educational goals and discover opportunities for growth, achievement, and lifelong success.
