It’s National Custodian Appreciation Day, and do we ever have the best?!?!

These ladies take care of things most of us never even notice and help make our school a place we’re proud to call ours. They most certainly clean up after the Arnett Beta Club and all our messes. Their work happens early, late, behind the scenes, and everywhere in between. They absolutely worked their tails off this summer. They are also just a lot of fun to have around!!

Hey, Arnett Betas! Kiwanis Kid’s Day is this Sunday, and you know what that means! If you’re available to help lead the parade, judge the categories, assist with the races, pass out ice cream, etc., please be at the park at 2:00 PM, and we’ll give you a job! The Kiwanis members are pretty awesome and let the big kids run some races and win some money, too. It will be a fun afternoon!

We love that so many of our students and staff get the opportunity to support our athletic teams during the day. We also love what happens back at school while they’re gone, or how everyone works together when they return.

Today, students scooped leaves (and to our surprise-baby spiders!😅), wiped down outdoor furniture, swept floors, took out trash, and cleaned tables.

How awesome is it that our custodians are so supportive of our teams that they rode the pep bus both days to cheer them on and then returned to school to have students helping them out. 🖤💛

Lots of kids, lots of fun, lots of prizes won!!

We’re very thankful for wonderful Beta students, parents, grandparents, and those who just jump in and help!! It was a rainy night (thankful for that!), a windy morning (but it died down!), and a very eventful day with our students helping and participating in everything (glad that they do!), and we still had plenty of extra hands filling in, helping move things around, setting up, etc. because that’s just what people do around here!!

Last, but most certainly not least, our final officer introduction is Alexis Gaisford, our Junior Beta Treasurer!

Alexis has been a student at Arnett since 3rd grade and is proud to serve as an officer this year. She is the daughter of Brittney, a 1st grade teacher, and Ross, who works in the oil field, and she has a younger brother, Kade, who is in 5th grade.

Alexis’s favorite service projects are Breakfast with Buddies and Ranch Rodeo Kids’ Games because she enjoys getting to interact with the younger students at our school.

Her favorite State Beta competition is Scrapbook because she loves getting to design the pages and be creative.

Being a part of Beta helps Alexis stay accountable for her grades while also giving her opportunities to serve and be involved in her school community.

We’re excited to have Alexis serving as our Junior Beta Treasurer this year!
