My path to becoming an Ag teacher, which set me up for the success I have in life today, started 30 years ago when I was a freshman in Mr. Speyrer's Ag I class at Beau Chene High School. He is one of the great mentors I had in life and can still count on words of encouragement and knowledge today. It was a full circle moment today as my oldest daughter, Lexi Gautreaux, received her State FFA Degree along with his grand daughter as well as 9 other Beau Chene FFA members. This picture sums it up for me! This man raised many of us and is a huge reason we are the people we are today! People that know, be jealous that I got a picture with him today!

The Beau Chene High School graduation lat night couldn't have been more perfect!!! The kids and parents had a great time. Thanks to everyone that made it happen for these kids!

Beau Chene High School graduation has been moved to Our Savior's Church in Opelousas at 9:30pm tonight. Due to the weather and circumstances, this is the only time that graduation is able to take place. While this may inconvenience some, please keep the spirit of the occasion positive for our graduates. They want this!! This is the same group that missed out on an 8th grade end of year experience due to COVID. Let's celebrate them even though it's not the ideal situation. Many people have worked hard to move graduation to make it happen tonight! Let's celebrate our kids!!
