🐘 Rest in peace, Happy.

For nearly 50 years, Happy called the home and helped teach the world just how intelligent elephants truly are.

In 2005, Happy became the first elephant to pass a mirror self-recognition test, showing a level of self-awareness previously seen in only a handful of species. She also became the center of an important conversation about animal welfare, conservation, and the lives of animals in human care.

At POSTPALS, we believe every animal has a story worth learning from.

Today, we celebrate Happy’s life and the impact she had on science, education, and the millions of people who met her. 💙

What’s Inside? Maps, clues, and a postcard from a certain large shark (that would be me)
We’ll be talking about real things out there: how sharks travel, how oceans stay balanced, and why science matters.
