Last Blast UPDATES!
We started passing out shirts today, but still have a lot of the 6th graders to get through tomorrow and the 8th graders who are coming back from DC. So if your child didnt come home with a shirt today they either didn't get it yet or it's in their locker.

You can register your student through the end of the day tomorrow and they can still receive a shirt, they just wont have it in time for the event.

We are still missing quite a few payments, please Venmo or send cash tomorrow.

And we still need volunteers to help with the event, so if you have a background check on file and you are willing to help out let us know and we will send the signup.

Good Morning!
Thank you to everyone who has already registered for Last Blast. We will be sending out verification of registration and payment (meaning your child will receive a shirt) for everything received through YESTERDAY. The volunteer sign up to help will also be sent out later today.

Please remind your friends to sign up by Sunday if their child would like a shirt. 😃

Hello AMS families! Here is everything you need to know for Last Blast. Please be a pal and share this post with a friend. (preferably your friend most likely to say "I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT THIS!") 🤭😉

Last Blast is 5/11 this year and yes, we know it's 2 weeks earlier than usual. HOWEVER, when looking at the calendar this year we were extremely limited by; graduations, field trips, half days, track meets, robotics competitions, band concerts, orchestra concerts and award ceremonies. The May schedule was intense and we only have a few days in June and 2 of the 3 are half days making transportation hard for working parents. With that said we definitely appreciate your support and understanding that planning this event for 300+ students and trying to accommodate schedules is extremely difficult and this year this is how things played out. This does not mean the date will always be this early in the future this is just how it worked out this year. 😊

Now, onto the important stuff. We are excited to once again offer this fun event for your kids. We listened to their feedback from last year and we are making a few changes

1) The time will be shorted by 30 minutes. Pickup is 4:30 this year
2) We are trying more field game events such as kickball and wiffleball
3) For the parents.... we hope you love this.... we are offering Venmo as a payment option. (though mainly because ya'll don't label envelopes and we're tired of trying to track down who turned in $20 cash while they all raise their hands and say.... IT'S MINE! LOL.) 😆🫣

Here's the process.. you will need to fill out the registration form then pay. Please keep in mind due to several people registering and then not paying last year because their student decided they didn't want to go the day of... we will NOT consider your registration completed (meaning your shirt will not be ordered) until you pay. So sorry to be this way, but Last Blast pays for itself and last year we lost quite a bit of money due to a change of mind the day of.

‼️ Get your registrations in BY 5/3 for a t-shirt. We will not be ordering extras this year and the price is $20 with or without the shirt. ‼️

I'm pretty sure the saying, "it takes a village" was actually referring to Armada. Not only does it truly take a village, but we have such a great one that somehow everything always gets done! Big THANK YOU to our principals, teachers, Mr. Dan, the janitor and parent volunteers who helped pull off a great night for the students. The outfits were amazing, the dancing was obnoxious, we sold a ton of concessions (there was popcorn everywhere!) and everyone was picked up promptly at 8 😉

We’re looking forward to a fun night with your kids at the GLOW DANCE! Just a few reminders

1. We will have pizza, candy, pop and water for purchase. We are really trying to clear out our stock for the year! Cash only, everything is $1 or $2 (singles are always appreciated)

2. Each student will receive a cookie and a cup of Gatorade or water included with the cost of their ticket.

3) We will have glowsticks available for $1

Pickup is 8pm sharp 😉🤣

The students voted and the theme for the dance will be GLOW. Think bright neon colors 🤩

Tomorrow will be the last day for dance tickets so please don’t forget to send your student with $5 if they plan on attending. As a reminder tickets CANNOT be purchased at the door, school policy.
