Friday Wellness Reminder!

As the summer semester comes to an end and the fall semester begins, remember to be kind to yourself.

Take time to rest, celebrate your accomplishments, and give yourself grace. You don't have to be perfect or have everything figured out. Your best is enough!

Set Yourself Up for a Successful Semester: Check in With Yourself!

As the summer semester ends and the fall semester begins, take a moment to check in with yourself.
Transitions can be exciting, but they can also be full of stress, uncertainty, and many things to do.

Checking in with yourself isn't something that you should only do when you're overwhelmed. Making it a regular habit can help you recognize your needs early, adjust before stress builds, and start the semester with intention.
Remember! Taking care of yourself is an important part of your success.

Friday Wellness Reminder: Rest Is an Important Part of Self-Care!

As the week comes to an end, take a moment to slow down and check in with yourself.

Between classes, work, family responsibilities, and everything else, it's easy to feel like you should always be doing more. But rest isn't something you have to earn; it's an important part of maintaining your mental and physical well-being.
This weekend, make time to recharge in a way that works for you.

That might look like:
β€’ Getting a good night's sleep
β€’ Spending time outdoors
β€’ Reading for enjoyment
β€’ Listening to music
β€’ Connecting with friends or family
β€’ Taking a break from screens
β€’ Simply sitting quietly and taking a few deep breaths

Giving yourself time to rest can improve your focus, reduce stress, and help you return to the week ahead feeling more refreshed and prepared.
Your well-being matters. Taking care of yourself today is an investment in your success tomorrow.

UTA students: Support is available whenever you need it. You can schedule an appointment with CAPS by calling (817) 272-2671. Students also have access to 9 free TimelyCare telehealth sessions (register through the link in bio using your UTA email) and the MavsTalk 24-hour crisis line at (817) 272-8255.

Set Yourself Up for a Successful Semester!

A new semester often brings new goals, opportunities, and plenty of things to do. As you begin planning for the upcoming semester, don't forget to make room for your well-being.
This semester, try setting realistic self-care goals, the kind you can actually stick with. Self-care doesn't have to be elaborate. It can be:
β€’ Getting enough sleep most nights
β€’ Drinking more water throughout the day
β€’ Taking a 10-minute walk between classes
β€’ Building in short study breaks
β€’ Making time to connect with family and friends

Just as important, check in with yourself regularly and ask for support if you need it.
Remember, success isn't about doing everything perfectly; it's about creating healthy habits that help you learn, grow, and take care of yourself along the way.

Friday Wellness Reminder!

Creativity is more than making something; it's a way of caring for yourself.

You don't have to earn a creative break. You don't have to be productive at every moment. Giving yourself time to create, imagine, and simply enjoy the process can help you reconnect with yourself, ease stress, and restore your energy.

So today, give yourself permission to pause, create, and recharge. Your well-being matters just as much as your to-do list.

Friday Wellness Reminder

Your brain works for you every single day, so make time to care for it. Self-care isn't just a treat; it's an important part of staying healthy. Moving your body, drinking enough water, eating nourishing foods, getting quality sleep, and taking moments to rest can all help support your brain and overall well-being. Remember, you don't have to do everything perfectly. Small, consistent acts of self-care can help you feel more energized, focused, and ready for whatever the day brings.

Friday Wellness Reminder!

Self-care isn't just something to do when you have extra time; it's an important part of staying healthy, managing stress, and preventing burnout.
One simple way to practice self-care is through movement. Whether it's a quick walk, stretching between classes, or taking a few minutes to get up from your desk, movement can help boost your mood, improve focus, and recharge your energy.
This Friday, take a few minutes for yourself. Even small acts of self-care can make a big difference.
