The Diversity Certificate Program will be administered by the School of Social Work and offered to undergraduate students in any major. Participants complete 12 credit hours including one 3 credit hour course in each of the following three diversity domains: 1) Racial and Ethnic Relations, 2) Social and Economic Inequality, and 3) Gender and Sexuality. General information
Drawing from existing courses, programs, and associations within the university, the DCP will enable its students to combine academic coursework with co-curricular and experiential learning experiences in order to demonstrate their preparedness for participation in an increasingly diverse society and interconnected world. Completion of the certificate provides evidence of specialized study, which can be beneficial for increasing future professional and academic opportunities. The certificate is marketable to a wide variety of employers, graduate and professional schools, as well as non-profit and community action organizations.
