Kassidy and Cognac at the FFA Horse Show at the Evergreen State Fair. 🐴 This was Kassidy's first time showing horses and she earned Champion in the other breeds halter class and a red ribbon in Novice Showmanship!!! Way to go, girl!!!

Kassidy has an Equine Science-placement SAE project. She works at at horse farm on the weekend. She will be exhibiting meat chickens later this week at the fair!

Twin River Equestrian Team is now recruiting teens from North Snohomish/South Skagit County to join us for the school year. The first informational meeting is coming up. Looking forward to seeing new faces along with our returning riders!!!

Green Acres Academy is a learning center for Family Academy, an accredited private school and HOMESCHOOL support in Washington state and beyond.
We are located on an 8 acre hobby farm campus in Arlington and offer hands-on classes for kids on campus and in the community.

CORE classes:
WA State History
Math
English
Civics/Social Studies

Science classes:
Ag Biology or Life Science
Animal Science
Veterinary Science

CTE-Elective classes:
Ag Issues and Policy
Mythology
Public Speaking
Career Choices

Customized classes based on student interest. We teach children......not subjects.

Full Time-5 days a week
Part Time-2/3 days a week
FFA Leadership- Fridays

Our Film Production class finished a 16 minute short film and will be showing it tonight at our red carpet event.
Students created the storyline, developed the characters and their costumes, determined the setting and location for each shot, and edited the film.

Students created a movie poster, a movie trailer, and finally...the official movie called "Not Found".
What a fabulous way to wrap up the semester!!!!!

Taking applications for Fall 2026.
High school Veterinary Assisting program for homeschooled kids.
1. Enroll in Family Academy annually.
2. Attend classes at Green Acres Sr Academy from September to June.
3. Volunteer at a vet clinic in your neighborhood...on teen's schedule.
4. Participate in Veterinary Science CDE as a member of Green Acres FFA.
5. Keep online and paper records for two years of the program.
6. Pass the CVA Exam and become a Certified Veterinary Assistant by graduation.

We are EXPANDING for Fall 2026 and we need a NEW LOCATION!!!

Green Acres Academy is the preK-6 program and Green Acres Sr Academy hosts grades 7-12. We offer full time and part-time private school as well as STEM and Elective classes for homeschooled kids. Due to increased enrollment in all of our grade levels, we are looking to purchase or rent a new location for our teens on campus and in the community.

We will stay in Arlington/Silvana/Marysville area. If you know of a house, barn, church building or other venue that would be ideal for expanding our teen program, please let me know. We are open to all kinds of options!!! Contractors will remodel as needed to make the ideal space.
Please spread the word.
