Summer often means a well-deserved time off. Whether that’s taking a week of vacation from work or, for your students, a break from classes. Let us not forget that our time is not our own. Our time is a gift from God and should be stewarded to the benefit of others and for His glory.

During this week's time, pick a Christian service opportunity as a family and schedule it. You could also organize one as a family, like a Backyard Bible Club, and invite friends to participate.

For our time, we’re continuing our discussions about making the most of summer and not letting the time slip away. Sometimes it’s hard to strike a balance between enjoying the “lazy days of summer” and making sure we don’t neglect God’s priorities. This month we’ll offer some questions to help you think about how you want to spend the time as a family and individually.

How do you see God at work in your life? This is the theme of our discussions in May. If you are looking for God at work around you but not immediately recognizing his work, you can start by getting to know him better through Bible study and prayer. Next, a very effective way to see God at work in your life is to talk with others about Jesus! This week pray around your and ask God for an opportunity to talk with someone about Jesus this week. Maybe it will be with a family member, friend, or complete stranger. If you pray for God to open this door, he will! So be ready to share the reason for your hope in the Lord and you will experience the joy of joining him in the important work of evangelism!
