Eugene C. West, Sr., 83, of Horn Lake, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Stella West.
Mr. West is survived by his wife of 58 years, Vivian Womble West, two sons, Gene "Bub" West, II and David West, Sr. and his wife Jennifer, a granddaughter, Casey West of Stuart, Florida, a grandson, David West, II of Stuart, Florida, a step-grandson, Cole Glemser, a sister, Dorothy West from Chattanooga, Tennessee, a large extended family and many friends.
Gene, as everyone knew him, loved to go to church and help in the kitchen on Wednesday nights. He liked to cook and eat!
He enjoyed sports of any kind, either as a spectator or help coaching. He was lucky enough to watch his son David pitch in two different World Series. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather or "Pops" and a friend to all.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, August 13 from 5:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 6:00 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis.
