We heard from families.
Summer budgets are tight, and we never want cost to keep a child from creating, building, and learning.
Maker Camp is now $199, with all supplies included.

You know that kid who takes things apart just to see what’s inside? Who gets more excited about the process than the finished product?
That’s an Innovator.
At Maker Camp, they get a whole week to tinker, prototype, problem-solve, and make things that actually do something. No worksheets. No right answers. Just the satisfaction of figuring it out.
Maker Camp starts June 22 in Arlington. Link in bio.

You know that kid who has to be the one to stir? Who asks why the bread rises and actually wants to know the answer?
That’s a Flavor Maker.
At Maker Camp, they’re learning to make salsa from scratch, bake real things, and understand why food actually works, not just how to follow a recipe. Turns out the kitchen is one of the best science labs there is.
Maker Camp starts June 22. Spots are filling. Link in bio.

You know that kid who’s always humming? Who drums on every surface, who hears a song once and has it memorized by dinner?
That’s a Music Maker.
At Maker Camp, they’re not just listening, they’re creating. Writing, playing, experimenting with sound. Because music isn’t a talent you’re born with. It’s a language you learn.
Maker Camp starts June 22 in Arlington. Last few spots. Link in bio.

We’re thrilled to have Charmaine Meran on our team!
Charmaine teaches Sewing & Fiber Arts at Alight, where students learn to create with their hands, solve problems, and take pride in meaningful work. From learning foundational sewing techniques to designing original projects, students develop creativity, perseverance, and practical life skills through hands-on making.
Her classes encourage students to experiment, grow in confidence, and discover the satisfaction of turning an idea into something useful and beautiful. We’re so grateful to have her heart and expertise in our community.
Welcome officially, Charmaine!

You know that kid who’s already figured out how to negotiate with adults? The one who has a plan (and a backup plan) before anyone else has finished reading the directions?
That kid is a Future Founder.
At Maker Camp, they’re not just making things. They’re learning how those things become something : a product, a pitch, a business. Because some kids don’t just want to participate in the world. They want to build it.
Maker Camp starts June 22 in Arlington. A few spots left. Link in bio.

Not algebra.
Not grammar.

Resilience?
Financial literacy?
Communication?
Empathy?
Leadership?
Entrepreneurship?
We’ll compile the answers and share the results next week.
