Trailblazer's Guide to Gibbs
Monday, August 24, or Tuesday, August 25
8:30–11:00 am or 12:00–2:30 pm
This optional, welcoming half-day program is designed just for incoming 6th graders to explore Gibbs before the school year begins and is offered by Arlington Community Education at no cost. Students will become familiar with the building, reconnect with old friends, meet new classmates, and get introduced to some of their teachers. They will play interactive games, go on scavenger hunts, and experience an advisory meeting. Parents and guardians are invited to attend an optional meet-and-greet with Gibbs administrators during the first half hour.
Please register by Friday, July 10. Space is limited, and registration is required, even though the program is free. No walk-ins will be permitted on the day of the program.

Find out more about this two-week, full-day Summer Theater Intensive and learn how to put your best foot forward in an audition this Wednesday, June 10, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the Arlington High School Auditorium.
Journey “under the sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends in "The Little Mermaid JR.", led by the Ottoson Middle School drama team. The program runs from August 3–14, culminating in an August 14 evening performance open to the public.

We are accepting submissions for our annual cover art contest! Enter up to four pieces for consideration. The winning artists will receive $300 and exposure to an audience of over 50,000 in exchange for the use of their artwork. All mediums are welcome. Open to artists of high school age and older.
