Our favorite Librarian has been recognized by the Texas Library Association and it's about time. We have known for a long time that Dawn is the best around! And she is coming to read to us tomorrow!!!! See you tomorrow Ms. Dawn!

The Arlington Public Library is thrilled to announce that Dawn Reyes has received the Texas Library Association Distinguished Service Award! The Texas Library Association Distinguished Service Award is presented to a librarian who has demonstrated substantial leadership in the profession and provided outstanding service in one or more areas of librarianship.

For nearly 30 years, Dawn has been a beloved children’s librarian on our Youth Services team creating storytimes, encouraging young readers through 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, and partnering with schools, River Legacy, Parks, and more to benefit our community.

Thank you, Dawn, for your dedication, creativity, and lasting impact on Arlington!
