We are thrilled to announce our keynote speakers for ACOI 2026: George M. Abraham, MD, MPH, and Carrie Janiski, DO.

Dr. Abraham is Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School; Chief of Medicine at Saint Vincent Hospital; and Adjunct Professor at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease, and is an invited speaker both locally, nationally and internationally.

Dr. Janiski is President of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons of California as well as Senior Regional Medical Director at Golden Valley Health Centers. She is also the CEO and DIO for Valley Consortium for Medical Education, and is board-certified in sports medicine, neuromusculoskeletal medicine/osteopathic manipulative medicine, and family medicine.

ACOI joins the osteopathic medicine community in mourning the passing of resilient and dedicated physician, educator, and civil rights leader William G. Anderson, DO. Dr. Anderson was an inspiring force in his commitment to service and equity, and he will be greatly missed.

Last year, Dr. Anderson spoke with ACOI Past President Susan M. Enright, DO, MACOI, and shared his belief that physicians remain leaders of change in society and laws to make life a little better for the people we serve. Dr. Anderson truly lived this out and leaves an inspiring legacy that will certainly ripple through the work of this community's physicians, leaders, and educators.

“Our profession is so very proud of Dr. Anderson and all that he accomplished," said AOA President Richard R. Thacker, DO, MACOI.
