This morning, our ECE PTA Treasurer stopped by the school to run a quick errand and spotted something absolutely adorable!! 🐦💛

A sweet little yellow bird was perched right on top of our ECE Little Free Library. But the best part? If you look closely at the books inside, you'll see a title called "Stop That Spy Bird!" 😂📚

Talk about perfect timing and the perfect photo opportunity!!

Our ECE Little Free Library is officially OPEN and stocked with great books for summer reading. Whether you're looking for a new adventure, a favorite story, or a book to share, be sure to stop by and take a look.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of our students and families, who met and exceeded our Read-A-Thon fundraising goal, the English Crossing Elementary PTA was able to purchase and install this Little Free Library for our school community!

You'll find it right out front at ECE, stocked with books and ready for readers of all ages. Whether you're looking for a new adventure, a favorite story, or a book to share, we hope you'll stop by and take a look.

Today, the ECE PTA set up a special "Hydration Station" for our amazing teachers and staff as they spend the day keeping Field Day running smoothly for our students!

We stocked it with snacks, water bottles and LMNT hydration packets to help everyone stay energized and hydrated in the warm weather. 🌞💦

Thank you, ECE teachers and staff, for all you do to make days like today so much fun for our students. We hope you enjoy the treats. You've earned them!! 🐾❤️🐾

8:50 AM – 10:45 AM (station rotations)

3–5 & Mrs. Stewart's students:
12:30 PM – 2:20 PM (station rotations)

All K–5 Students:
2:25 PM – 3:00 PM (grade-level races on the lower field)

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Families are welcome to attend! Whether you'd like to spend time with your child or volunteer to help, we'd love to have you. Please stop by the office to sign in when you arrive!

Monday's forecast is calling for temperatures in the upper 80s, so please help your student be prepared by:
💧 Drinking plenty of water before school
🚰 Bringing a water bottle
🧴 Applying sunscreen before arriving at school

🚒💦 To help everyone cool off, the ECE PTA has invited a fire truck to spray students at the end of the day! Students who choose to participate may come home a little wet. Participation will be completely optional.

🚂 ALL ABOARD... for a library book search! 📚

English Crossing Elementary still has over 400 library books that need to be returned before the end of the school year.

Please take a few minutes to check high and low around your home:
🔎 Under beds
🔎 On bookshelves
🔎 In backpacks
🔎 In the car
🔎 In toy bins and closets

Every book that isn't returned is a loss to our school library and limits the books available for our students in the future.

If you find any ECE library books, please send them back with your student as soon as possible. No need to worry about when they were due, we just want our books back!! 🐾❤️🐾
