🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 Discovery PTA’s parent volunteers make it happen! Through their efforts, we are able to build a strong school community, provide engaging and thoughtful opportunities for our children, and support and boost morale for our teachers and staff.

👏🏼 Thank you to the many parents who volunteered as PTA Board Members and Committee Chairs and members for the 2025-26 school year and a special shout out to all of our Room Parents this year! We are so appreciative of all your time and dedication and are excited to have a number of you return for next year.

👍🏼 However, we have many open program and event chair positions. No experience is required; all parents welcome to get involved with big and small roles available. These roles are a great way to get involved in the Discovery community and to get to know other parents. Any committee role can be split into a co-chair position (even if not specified).

Discovery has partnered with SPROUT to provide 2026-2027school supply kits. The kits are filled with the exact, teacher-selected supplies for each grade level and are shipped free to Discovery in time for the First Day of School! Our online store is open! Shop without leaving home!

📚 ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE NOW DUE! 📚
Thank you to all the families that have already sent in books. Paper overdue notices were sent home this week with images of book covers.

📖 What to do If you are unable to locate a book:
- Please do not purchase a replacement copy.
- If you would like to pay for the lost item, please contact the library. Ms. Senatre in the front office will then email you an online payment link.
- If the book is found over the summer and returned in the fall, we will gladly issue a refund.
- If you prefer not to pay for the book, simply let us know. We will mark the item as LOST and remove the charge from your child’s account.

🐄🤠 Reminder: Our “Barnyard Bash” Field Day is TOMORROW! 🐖🌾

The barnyard gates open bright and early, and we can’t wait for a day full of farmyard fun! As your little farmers get ready for the big bash, please keep these important reminders in mind:

🐓 Arrive on time!
🌞 Dress for the sunshine!
👟 Wear sturdy barnyard boots...ahem, sneakers!
🧢😎 Shade those eyes! Caps, visors, and sunglasses are encouraged.
💧 Pack plenty of water! Send a cold water bottle filled with ice. Water stations will be available throughout the day for refills.
🌡️🐴 Be ready for some warm farm weather! It’s going to be hot and humid, so come prepared to stay cool and hydrated.
🧴☀️ Apply sunscreen before leaving home so our farmhands can enjoy the day safely.
