The AHS DECA chapter just had an incredible showing at their statewide competition, where students put their business, marketing, finance and hospitality skills to the test! Competing against 100+ schools and nearly 3,900 students, our Tigers brought home 5 STATE CHAMPIONS and are now headed to national competition in April in Orlando!
🔥 DECA State Champions 🔥
🏆 Franchise Business Plan – Sawyer Oselies & Coleman Dorsey
🏆 Automotive Service Marketing Series – Ashlynn Harrahill
🏆 Business Finance Series – Noah Manthe
🏆 Principles of Hospitality & Tourism – Savannah Reynolds
The ACS Legacy Grant made it possible for students to compete and showcase their talents on a statewide stage, covering much of the cost for their journey. Now, they’ll soon be off to Nationals with their DECA advisor, Laurinda Lamb, and we can’t wait to cheer them on!
Congratulations to our amazing AHS educators who have earned tenure status this school year, pictured with Principal Davis (center):
Jonathan Loyd, Kelsey Fearnley, Stephanie Altman, Doty Mize, Nicole Hensley, and Blaine Brewer
To earn tenure, these educators earned a Level 4 or 5 in the most recent two years and have worked in ACS for five years or previously received tenure in another district.
Help us celebrate these outstanding teachers!
Congratulations, Tucker! We know you’ll represent Arlington well!
