Just registered for the Level Up Virtual Conference!!
A little bummed it won’t have the same magic as the in-person conference I attended but so grateful that they’re still supporting teachers throughout this unusual time.
Can’t wait to my teaching with these amazing educators! 🤩🙌🏻

I've been pretty MIA on here this year for a couple of reasons:
💻 Virtual teaching is tough, ya'll. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has felt this. Looking forward to a relaxing break with no screens other than holiday movie watching!
👶🏼 I'm also currently 25 weeks pregnant with my first baby - a little girl due in April. Being pregnant during Covid looks differently than I imagined but rest, yoga, and virtual catch-ups with friends have made it wonderful 🙌🏻
Here's to 2021 looking a little more "normal" for all of us and if you're going on break soon, enjoy every moment!

Start your students off on the right foot this year with a strong foundation in computer & Google Apps skills! 💻
This self-paced, mastery-based resource will teach students to master necessary digital skills such as typing & keyboard shortcuts, using a mouse or trackpad, splitting a screen and more while completing engaging "Get To Know You" activities.
It's like 6 resources in one with separate activities on five of of the most commonly used Google Apps for education including Google Docs, Slides and Forms! It also teaches students the top tips and tricks to master Google Classroom.
Each time students master a skill, they can earn a "stamp" in their digital passport which adds motivation and engagement ☺️

Dear Teacher Friends,
READ THIS. Whether you're going back 100% online, in a hybrid model or fully in-person, our students can benefit from connection and these are fantastic ideas 💜

I have taught through 2 pandemics. The first was in 2009 during the H1N1 pandemic in South Korea and the second was in 2015 during the MERS pandemic, also in South Korea.
There are children and teachers who are going to be sent to school in the Fall when it is still dangerous. I do not support this. But, I would like to play my part by informing you of ways I found to create connection and emotionally safe environments for my students during similar times when there was so much fear and uncertainty in our world.
Please note that as an educator, you are not expected to do all of these things. They are things that I did and I hope that they at least spark some planning and ideas for you to do what works best for you and your kids. My students are not wearing masks in all of the photos. This is for different reasons. In some cases, my students refused to wear them. In others, they just took them off for the photos. In some, the viruses had calmed a bit and we didn't need to wear masks inside any longer.
Sending Love. ~Gahmya
