Remembering 9/11: 25 Years Later
Veritas Collegiate Academy’s Washington, D.C. Campus gathered for a special Chapel commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. For our students, 9/11 is history. For those who lived through it, the memories remain vivid.
We were especially privileged to hear from longtime Veritas host father Mr. Steve Coleman, who was an Associated Press reporter in Washington, D.C. when the Pentagon was attacked. With our campus located just blocks from the Pentagon, and many Veritas families involved there, this history is especially close to home.
As a classical Christian school, we believe firsthand testimony brings history to life, helping our students understand sacrifice, courage, the reality of evil, and the importance of faith in the face of tragedy.
We invite you to watch and share Mr. Coleman’s powerful firsthand testimony. Twenty-five years later, it is our responsibility to ensure that a new generation knows what happened, remembers those we lost, honors those who served and sacrificed, and understands the lessons of that day. May we never allow September 11 to become simply a page in a history book. We remember. We teach. We honor. We will never forget.
