offering personalized music lessons Greetings!

My name is Eric Keller and I’ve been teaching private music lessons since 2006. Guitar is my primary instrument, but I also offer lessons for ukulele, bass, keyboard/piano, banjo, songwriting, and recording. I strive as an educator to be a supportive and knowledgeable guide in the exploration of music. I tailor each lesson to fit my student’s individual goals and interests. I aim to foster creativity, technical proficiency, musical understanding, and most importantly, I seek to inspire passion and motivation for playing music. I teach and study many genres; rock, pop, folk, classical, blues, country, jazz, and metal/prog. Having a wide knowledge base helps me design personalized lessons for each student. By designing curriculum through this Interest Based Learning (IBL) approach, my students become more invested in their musical development. When I am not teaching, recording or playing music, I am raising my boys Asa and Elliot with my amazing wife Emily.

Hello all! I wanted to let you know that I will be performing some original music with my friend Rich Bernett at Saturday, March 24th at Epicure (https://epicurecafe.org) in Fairfax, VA at 8:00. We’re listed as Go Home Robot, but it will not be the full band. It’s a $5-$10 suggested donation and since it’s the night of March for our Lives we will be donating our portions of the proceeds to Moms Demand Action. Hope to see you there!

For over seven years, we have held a weekly open mic night on Thursdays. These are nights where anyone can drop in, sign up their name and play two songs. Signups are on site only, at the times listed below.
