Prime Time, a Louisiana family literacy program, has boosted reading skills for decades by fostering shared mealtimes and discussions, impacting children statewide and now nationwide.

Iowa has a new Student Poet Ambassador, a role that includes a dedicated seat on the Board of Humanities Iowa, where high school junior Josie Nabhan-Warren will help shape the future of public humanities in her state.
The 17-year-old poet, inaugurated to her new statewide role April 24, has the coming year in store to connect youth, amplify their voices, and give young poets a seat at the table.

The next generation of poets is reinvigorating the old art form as a new way to connect worlds, thanks in part to Iowa Student Poet Ambassadors.

Veterans, service members, and military family members are invited to submit original writing exploring their experiences and reflections through poetry, fiction, essays, and art.
