A Louisiana reading program has seen steady success, and now other states are modeling it Prime Time, a Louisiana family literacy program, has boosted reading skills for decades by fostering shared mealtimes and discussions, impacting children statewide and now nationwide.

Iowa has a new Student Poet Ambassador, a role that includes a dedicated seat on the Board of Humanities Iowa, where high school junior Josie Nabhan-Warren will help shape the future of public humanities in her state.
The 17-year-old poet, inaugurated to her new statewide role April 24, has the coming year in store to connect youth, amplify their voices, and give young poets a seat at the table.
