Viridian Sailing Center offers aquatic adventure for all ages and experience levels. Both residents and the public can purchase an Annual Pass, giving access to the Sailing Center and its state-of-the-art sailboats, paddleboards and kayaks. Sign up for Adult Learn to Sail Courses and Camps for Kids or Teens. For more fun on the water, try our 2-hour paddle sport rentals. Viridian Sailing Center Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization registered in the State of Texas.

It is Tuesday, which means it is time for another exciting evening of Series Racing on Lake Viridian!
Whether you are a beginning racer, seasoned racer or just looking to sharpen your sailing skills, we invite all VSC members to come out and join the fun. Racing opportunities are available in a variety of boats, including:
⛵ RS Aero
⛵ RS Quest
⛵ Sunfish
⛵ ILCA
⛵ Optimist (Opti)
Not a member? No problem! Spectators are always welcome. Come enjoy a beautiful summer evening by the water and watch the action unfold from the dock or along the scenic north shoreline of Lake Viridian.

☀️ AUGUST SOCIAL EVENT UPDATE ☀️

For the safety and well-being of our members, guests, and staff, we have made the decision to cancel our August Social Event tonight due to the expected temperatures of 100+ degrees.

While we always love spending time together on and around the water, extreme heat is something we don’t want to take lightly. We encourage everyone to stay safe, stay hydrated, and take care of yourselves during these hot summer days. 💧☀️

We’re disappointed we won’t be able to gather with everyone this month, but there will be more opportunities to sail, paddle, socialize, and enjoy the lake together!

⛵ We hope to see everyone at our next Social Event!

Due to the extreme heat and current weather conditions, we have made the decision to close the Viridian Sailing Center today.

The safety and well-being of our members, guests, instructors, and staff are always our top priority. With today’s conditions, we believe closing the Center is the responsible choice.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We look forward to welcoming everyone back when conditions are safer and more comfortable.

Looking for a relaxing way to enjoy the beauty of Lake Viridian? Step aboard with a Viridian Sailing Center Scenic Sail and let us take you out on the water! 🌊☀️

For one hour, sit back, relax, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake while sailing with one of our Viridian Sailing Center Instructors. Whether you're looking for a peaceful afternoon, a unique experience with family or friends, or simply want to see Viridian from a different perspective, a Scenic Sail is the perfect getaway.

⛵ Scenic Sail Details:
• Book your sail in convenient one-hour increments
• We recommend no more than four passengers for the best experience
• Your sail will be aboard either a 16-foot catamaran or a 14-foot RS Quest sailboat
• No sailing experience necessary — just come ready to relax and enjoy the water!

Summer of Sailing

As we progress thru another incredible summer of sailing, we want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who made our Summer Camps so special! ⛵💙

To our amazing campers — thank you for bringing your energy, curiosity, smiles, and adventurous spirit to the water. Watching you learn new skills, gain confidence, make friends, and discover the joy of sailing has been one of the highlights of our summer!

To our families — thank you for trusting us with your sailors, supporting their adventures, and helping make the Viridian Sailing Center such a special place for our community. We couldn't do it without you!

And to our incredible instructors — thank you for your patience, passion, leadership, and dedication. Many of you are part of the Viridian community yourselves, and we're especially proud to have so many outstanding young people giving back to the community they call home.

As you head back to school and college, we wish you an amazing year ahead! Keep learning, keep leading, and keep sailing whenever you can. We can't wait to see you back on the water! 🎓⛵

This summer was filled with new friendships, new skills, plenty of sunshine, and countless memories on the water. 🌊

Start your morning with fresh air, sunshine, great company, and a little time on beautiful Lake Viridian!

Our monthly Ladies Stand-Up Paddle Board is the perfect way to escape the everyday, connect with other women in our community, and enjoy a relaxing morning on the water. Whether you’re an experienced paddler or simply looking for a fun, laid-back adventure, everyone is welcome!
