Registration is Open for Summer 2020!

A very special first week to kick off the season! thanks Curney Nuffer and all ya'll painters and printmakers and botanical artists for coming again and again! XOXO

We have had an amazing run of generous neighbors letting make paintings of their beautiful properties, but as of yesterday, the new owner of Nimbacova, John Boynton, let me know that Ni**od Guests and Artists are no longer welcome to paint there or really even walk on his property (this also includes the new Camp Rivers Bend). He is worried about lawsuits and trespassing so I have to make this well known, but it is a sad day for us who just paint scenes of these places that were here long before any of us, as a form of respect for this beautiful area of Virginia. All of you who are still scheduled to come to Ni**od Hall this summer, as artists or guests, please respect his wishes and do not trespass. Artists, post all your Nimbacova painting to help us remember- and not to worry, we have 30 years of photos of Nimbacova, formerly part of Ni**od Hall, to use as reference.

The year has started out with a bang with perfect weather with one crazy storm - fun times, fireflies, lots of painting, great food from Jim and the new rec hall renovation. See lots of you soon!

Registration for participants who attended Ni**od last summer starts TOMORROW, Jan 15th. Info is posted! Registration for anyone new or anyone who did not come last year is January 22nd. Make sure and get that to me asap to get a spot in our 30th anniversary season of artists creating at NI**OD HALL. www.nimrodhallart.com

Kicking off the season today could not have been better. Happy to start off our summer with such a great group of people!

I have been sending out emails from Ni**od today and lots of you guys have a firewall keeping the email from being accepted. Add me to your OK list ( [email protected] ) to get them. If you didn't get anything today, June 1, and are coming to Ni**od in JUNE then et me know! Or just show up when you are supposed to be here ! : ) It is just the reminder emails going out.

Big opening Friday NIght in Lexington, Va for my amazing talented teachers for Ni**od Hall Summer Arts Program 2015. Lexington is one cool town so make it a destination to come see us! This Friday, June 5th from 5-7:30. Here is Curney Nuffer's painting of the cottage we call 3rd Sunset.

Spring at Ni**od Hall is long weekends cleaning, amazing flowers and spring peepers, and looking forward to all the artists getting there! Still space in many of the weeks. Oil painter, Fielding Archer, joins the roster for July 12-17. Brand new super cool Makeshop Craft Camp for adults has been scheduled for July 24-26th.

The Ni**od Show opens Friday Night at the Stewart Gallery in Richmond, VA. Many paintings from the artists who attended last summer will have a piece or two for sale and it is a wonderful walk through the minds of the talent who come to create at Ni**od. It has been a long winter for my laundress but I look forward to the glorious sunshine of NI**od Hall this upcoming summer!
