When a traumatic injury like a severed finger occurs, every second matters—and how you respond can impact the outcome.

In this video, our Medical Director, Mrs. Annacua, explains the proper steps to help preserve a severed finger for possible reattachment:

🩸 Control bleeding immediately
🧼 Gently rinse the finger if contaminated (do not scrub)
🩹 Wrap it in sterile, moist gauze
🧊 Place it in a sealed bag, then put that bag on ice—never directly in water or ice
