Please remember that ice conditions are extremely dangerous and unpredictable. Even if the ice appears solid, it can break without warning and create a life-threatening situation.

Please speak with children about the dangers of playing on frozen water and PLEASE Stay off ice-covered ponds and lakes!!!

Please stay off the roads unless necessary. It’s not going anywhere for a few days so just stay home and stay warm !!

Arlington, the winter weather has arrived !! Our members are on duty and already responding to incidents.
We wanted to share a few safety reminders.

1. If you have to use a generator NEVER use it inside or in a garage even if the windows and doors are open. Keep it 20ft. from your house away and from any doors or vents. Always point the exhaust away from your home.

2. Make sure you have working smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.

3. If you use a space heater please keep a clear 3 foot radius all the way around it.

4. If you don’t have to be on the roads STAY HOME !! It is getting slick out there.

We would like to thank Arlington Public Works for clearing our driveways multiple times today to make it easier for us to respond.

STAY WARM A-TOWN !!!!

Today our members held extrication training while welcoming our automatic aid companies from the Shelby County Fire Department. Arlington and SCFD run automatic aid together in Arlington, Lakeland and surrounding areas and consistently run vehicle accidents together along Interstate 40, Highway 70, and Highway 64. This joint training allows both agencies to familiarize themselves with the other’s personnel as well as equipment all while increasing their skills on extrication in a controlled environment. This is valuable hands on training that benefits the citizens of Arlington and Shelby county. We would like to thank Arlington public works for assisting with positioning of vehicles for the scenarios.

Our members have been busy today. We started the day at Arlington Middle School for career day where we were able to recruit some future firefighters. After that we spent the afternoon training on vehicle extrication. This type of training allows us to practice and try different techniques of extrication and better our skills for when we need to use them. We want to thank Arlington Public works personnel for helping arrange the vehicles and creating a realistic scenario.

We really appreciate these and are thankful to Troop 452 for making them.

Today our members took part in the annual Town Christmas parade. We had the important task of bringing in the big man himself. Thanks to those who sent us these pics. We love being a part of this community!!

Earlier this year our members started selling breast cancer awareness shirts with the idea of all proceeds going to someone local in Arlington. Through the generosity of lots of citizens and our members we were able to raise $1100.00 dollars. Today we were able to proudly present those funds to AMS principal Blackburn. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who purchased shirts, spread the word , and supported this meaningful cause. Together we continue to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.

We hope you are all having a safe and Happy Halloween. Stop by and see the crew at Station 1 for some treats. They will be there for a little while longer unless duty calls. Stay safe Arlington.

Yesterday our members were able to be a part of sending off the AHS volleyball team to the state tournament. We love being a part of this community!!! Good luck ladies !!!

🏐 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 🏐 The AHS Tigers Volleyball team is settling in tonight as they prepare to compete in the state tournament! Of course, we had to give them a proper sendoff - complete with a police and fire es**rt - as they made their way out of Arlington!
