The National Wildlife Federation has recognized the ELA as a Certified Schoolyard Habitat, joining more than 11,000 schools nationwide dedicated to creating spaces where wildlife and learning thrive.

From a native rain garden and outdoor art studio to sensory play spaces and hands-on STEAM exploration, our youngest Saints are discovering the wonders of nature every day while building a lifelong connection to the environment.

From classroom sketches... to the runway! Fashion Design major Hazel Villafranco Iraheta has spent her time at developing the technical skills, creativity and confidence needed to thrive in the fashion industry.

From collaborating on sustainability-focused projects to creating a senior collection inspired by her Salvadoran roots, Hazel has embraced every opportunity to grow as a designer and storyteller.

Class of 2026 Student Spotlight: Hazel Villafranco Iraheta Senior Hazel Villafranco shares how opportunities such as the IKEA showcase and PIM fashion show pushed her to grow as a fashion designer.

Psychology major, first-generation graduate and Women's Swim Team standout Miah Lopez returned to competitive swimming after years away from the sport AND made history along the way!

From setting conference records to earning Rookie Athlete of the Year honors, Miah showed that it's never too late to chase your dreams, rewrite your story and make a splash.

Thank you Miah, for leaving your mark on Marymount Athletics and our community. We can't wait to see what's next!

From working with refugees to caring for underserved populations, Derrick's journey is a testament to the power of saying "yes" to new opportunities.
