Chapter Spotlight: Ames High School!

Ames High School’s DECA chapter has been active for many years and is one of Iowa’s largest chapters, with a strong history of ICDC qualification. Currently, the chapter is preparing members for SCDC through informational sessions, optional written evaluations, weekly prep meetings, and leadership-led mock competitions that mirror real district and state conditions. AHS DECA’s success is reflected in its long-standing achievements, including producing multiple Iowa state officers, the 2025 Central Region Vice President, numerous ICDC qualifiers, and a consistent record of placing in the top three at state competition.

Friends and Alumni of Iowa - Iowa DECA is seeking judges for its State Career Development Conference on February 15, 2026. This event is held at Southeast Polk High School. No experience in judging is needed, as we provide all the materials and training on judging. Chapter Spotlight: Cedar Falls High School!

“Hello, we are Cedar Falls DECA and are currently preparing for the State Career Development Conference. Our chapter is proud of its strong community involvement and a proven record of competitive success, including National DECA finalists, while consistently providing members with opportunities to develop leadership, professionalism, communication, and real-world business skills. Through these experiences, our members are challenged to grow both academically and personally as they prepare for future careers in business and marketing.”

Chapter Spotlight: Bondurant-Farrar High School!

Bondurant-Farrar DECA has experienced significant success in the 2025–2026 season. While past years saw average enrollment and steady attendance with little growth, this year the chapter has expanded to 35 dedicated members. One-third of these members placed at districts, including four first-year participants, highlighting the chapter’s growth, commitment to leadership development, and creation of opportunities for both academic and professional success.

Chapter Spotlight: Gilbert High School!

The Gilbert DECA chapter is one of the largest and fastest-growing in the district, building on strong district placements while preparing for state through prep nights, mock role plays, and new member involvement. The chapter’s commitment to personal integrity fuels its strong work ethic and has led to numerous first-place awards at districts, success at state, and hopes of qualifying for ICDC. Members support one another as a team and are excited for state in February and the opportunity to represent Iowa DECA in Atlanta this April.

In just its third year as a reinstated chapter, Southeast Valley DECA is thriving—doubling membership and launching its first-ever officer team to empower members as leaders. This year has brought more energy than ever, with increased social events, a stronger social media presence, and record-breaking participation at the District II Career Development Conference. As the chapter takes on the Iowa DECA Cup Challenge and looks ahead, Southeast Valley DECA is driven, united, and ready to make this its best year yet.
