Dear Discovery Center families...past and present,
Oh my goodness, I've spent the last 2 hours, opening gifts, reading cards and letting the tears flow. I'm completely overwhelmed with love and gratitude. It really is so little said for so much done , but from the bottom of my heart...thank you so much for everything...the money, the gift cards, the gifts, the flowers and the notes you all wrote to me. I've had some recent experiences wondering if anything I've done as a teacher and a director really mattered. Tonight, I know it did and I'm grateful for all of your kindness and support through the years.
I have to say....this preschool, the teachers and families have meant the world to me for a long time. I've made life long friendships and memories. A couple of things I say often are :
I do what I do because I like children better than adults. They're fun, real and brutally honest (ha ha).
And I also say this isn't just what I do, it's who I am. Thank you letting me do this for all these years. I literally have no idea what's next for me but I will cherish these years forever.

The last dinosaur class circle time for this year, was probably the best one all year. We read favorite stories, sang the "purple" song one last time and practiced the Kindergarten song.

It was a beautifully crazy and perfect last day of school. I hope your children came home with stories about cupcakes, parachute adventures , pizza and cheese balls...so many cheese balls. 😂 Thank you for sharing your children with us, it's why we do what we do. ❤️ Have a good weekend and we will see you all Tuesday morning. 👨🏻‍🎓🧑‍🎓😊
