Order of Omega Headquarters Honoring Greek Leaders Since 1959

PURPOSE OF ORDER OF OMEGA

To recognize those fraternity men and women who have attained a high standard of leadership in interfraternity activities, to encourage them to continue along this line, and to inspire others to strive for similar conspicuous attainment;

To bring together outstanding fraternity men and women to create an organization which will help to mold the sentiment of the instit

ution on ...questions of local and intercollegiate fraternity affairs. To bring together members of the faculty, alumni, and student members of the institution's fraternities and sororities on a basis of mutual interest, understanding and helpfulness;

To help create an atmosphere where ideas and issues can be discussed openly across Greek lines and to help work out solutions.

Order of Omega is proud to partner with Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. during its 61st Biennial Boule with a Case Study competition— an immersive, experiential learning opportunity that challenges members to apply analytical thinking and collaborative problem-solving to real-world issues facing their organization.

In addition, Order of Omega staff will conduct an honorary initiation ceremony recognizing select Sigma Gamma Rho alumni members for their outstanding leadership and years of dedicated service in advancing the values and ideals of the fraternal experience.

Congratulations are in order for two members of the Order of Omega Board of Directors, who were recently recognized with prestigious 2026 Awards of Distinction.

Dr. David Grady has been named a 2026 Silver Medal Honoree by the North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC), while Dr. Michael Shonrock has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Outstanding Foundation Volunteer Award from the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence (FFE).

Congratulations to both Dr. Grady and Dr. Shonrock on these well-deserved honors and for their continued leadership and service to the fraternal community!

Our Board of Directors, Regional Chapter Directors, and International Headquarters staff spent last week in Nashville, Tennessee, for our annual Summer Board Meeting. We had a productive week of collaboration, planning, and strategic discussions as we prepare for a transformative 2026–2027 year. We’re excited for what lies ahead and look forward to many more years of advancing the mission of Order of Omega together!

This holiday commemorates the day in 1865 when freedom finally came to enslaved people in Texas - two whole years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.
