What an incredible day for our Donelson Tigers! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ We are celebrating GREAT FUNDRAISING, AMAZING SCHOOL SPIRIT, and a HUGE accomplishment for our students! 🎉 Thanks to the generosity and support of our Donelson families and community, WE SURPASSED OUR GOAL! 🙌🐯

We want to give a HUGE SHOUT-OUT TO OUR DES PTA! 💙🤍 The time, planning, organization, and hard work that go into putting on an event like the Tiger Dash are tremendous. From coordinating the fundraiser to making sure everything ran smoothly, our PTA worked so hard to make this day special for our students. This event would not be possible without their dedication and commitment to Donelson Elementary!

👏 A BIG THANK-YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED MAKE THE TIGER DASH A SUCCESS!

To go along with the Book Tasting in 3rd grade, they will be creating videos to advertise their favorite book genre to practice the career ready skill of communication. Alissa Dunn, a local realtor, spoke to 3rd graders about how to best use fonts, colors, and other visual tools for advertising. She also discussed how important it is to create content that is viewable for everyone and matches the message you want to share!

Last week, our Preschool students learned all about pets and how to take care of them! We had a few very special guests that visited to help us learn more, and students were able to "adopt" their own puppies, name their fish, and meet some pretty awesome pups!
