The Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE) offers degrees in Industrial Engineering at the BS, MS, and PhD levels plus Masters degrees in Logistics, Engineering Management, and Systems Engineering. The Logistics and the Engineering Management programs work in collaboration with the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management in the College of Business

Congratulations to Dr. Caroline Krejci, Dr. Jay Rosenberger, and Dr. Julia Bitencourt on winning first place at the UTA Blazing Race. This is part of UT Arlington's TCE Wellness Program in which teams race across campus solving clues and completing challenges to win. Our department had two teams competing, BlazIEs (in the speed walking challenge) and BlazIEs Too (in the running challenge). Conratulations to both teams for completing the challenge!

Here are some photos of the events that we hosted for the IISE Conference. On Sunday, May 17th, we held our IMSE Alumni and Friends event, then provided tours of our research labs on Monday which ended with a small reception provided by our RAID Labs.

Congratulations to Dr. Jamie Rogers for winning the IISE Medallion Award at the 2026 IISE Conference! This award recognizes her dedication, leadership, and valuable contributions to the Industrial and Systems Engineering profession.

On May 11, 2026, we celebrated the retirements of Dr. Jamie Rogers, Dr. Bill Corley, Dr. Royce Lummus, Dr. Brian Huff, and Richard Zercher. We also celebrated the departure of Dr. Caroline Krejci who will be leaving the department, and Dr. Bonnie Boardman who was promoted to the Associate Dean for the College of Engineering.
