Today is World Dyslexia Day and we are celebrating by wearing RED! Why red? "Go Red For Dyslexia" says: "We’re all familiar with the color red. It’s always associated with mistakes, corrections, crossing out, and disapproval. Well, we thought it was time to change the narrative and take back the feelings of shame and low self-esteem so many dyslexic learners feel." No shame here - we are so PROUD of our students (and staff!) with dyslexia who show us every day what it means to think differently, persevere through difficult challenges, and be exactly who they are! HUGE thanks to Mr. Howell and all of the other volunteers who made our Book Fair a roaring success- we literally could not have done it without you! Grandparents’ Week + Book Fair + the best PTA in town = the best week ever ❤️🖤

What does volunteering look like?

It can be helping laminating, cutting out worksheets or making books. But volunteering can also be taking some time and reading a book to a class while they are in the library.

Big shout out to Mr. Howell! While volunteering at the book fair he took the opportunity to read to some Dunn Dragons too. 🐉

Dunn families, Arlington ISD’s new district-wide Screen Time Survey is a fantastic opportunity for parents and teachers to come together and help Arlington ISD shape the future of technology and digital wellness programs in the district.

By sharing your thoughts, you’ll play a key role in helping Arlington ISD create a shared understanding of screen time that will guide our future professional development and daily device usage goals.

Your unique perspectives will pair with the district’s own usage data to build a strong foundation for Arlington ISD’s new Technology Advisory Committee’s Screen Time and Digital Wellness subcommittee.

📣 Friendly reminder, Arlington ISD families! Enjoy the rest of your Labor Day weekend! There will be no school tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 7, for students and staff.

📆 Tuesday, Sept. 8: Staff professional learning day, no school for students
🏫 Wednesday, Sept. 9: Classes resume

Please note: Arlington Collegiate High School and Arlington College and Career High School will have school Tuesday, Sept. 8.
