Public health authorities in Tarrant County, the City of Arlington and the City of Burleson signed a Joint Control Order that will keep all of our schools closed to in-person classes through Sunday, September 27, 2020, due to the surge of COVID-19 cases in Tarrant County. While in-person instruction will be pushed back, online instruction will begin on Monday, August 17. We know the start of the school year is going to be unlike anything we’ve ever been through before. We can not express enough how much we appreciate your support and patience, not only throughout last spring, but into the fall as well. We are excited to announce our second large scale food distribution, located in the parking area of Globe Life Field! The event is this Tuesday, June 30th, from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. While guidance on COVID-19 safety protocols at the state and local level fluctuate from day-to-day, Arlington ISD Superintendent Dr. Marcelo Cavazos announced options in an email to parents this morning for back to school in the fall.
Parents have choices.
1. Enroll students for in-person instruction (as allowed by the
Texas governor)
2. Or enroll students for online instruction
Registration opens on Tuesday, July 7 at aisd.net/register. At any time during the year, parents can change their mind and select the other option. By making a choice, parents can help us plan for a safe return to the classroom when appropriate.
