✨ “If students can see themselves in me, then they can dream.” As Arlington ISD celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re highlighting Goodman Elementary principal Marisa Guzman and the heritage that has helped shape who she is as an educator and leader.
Guzman is proud of her Mexican and Spanish roots and of being a Tejana. Her family history includes roots in Reynosa, San Luis Potosí, and Zacatecas, Mexico, along with generations born right here in Texas. For her, Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to celebrate where she comes from, honor those who came before her, and carry their traditions and values forward.
And those values show up in her work every day as she strives to be a role model for students and help them see what’s possible for their own futures.
