Curiosity sparks innovation in the Lower School Idea Lab! πŸ¦‰

While helping Mrs. Carfa prepare for a lesson, Mr. Strickland caught the attention of third-grade Owl Yuvi Oza, who wanted to know exactly what they were building. That curiosity quickly turned into an unexpected hands-on lesson in electricity and closed circuits as Yuvi learned how to create a tiny β€œcritter bot.”

Even better, Yuvi jumped right into the role of peer mentor, helping classmates build their own creations. Before long, the Idea Lab was buzzing with a whole crew of critters and even more excited young engineers!

Sometimes the smallest words leave the biggest impact. πŸ’™

Today, lower school students traveled across campus delivering kindness cards to the teachers who shaped their journey. The ones who made them feel safe, confident, challenged, supported, and seen.

At Oakridge, every student’s path is unique, but what connects us all is a community that shows up for one another every day. One campus. One community. Endless impact.

πŸŽ“πŸ¦‰ Before the caps soared and the diplomas were handed across the stage, it all began in the library. The Oakridge Class of 2026 gathered together one final time in a place that holds so many memories. There was laughter echoing across the room. Friends helped straighten ties and fix graduation caps. Stories were retold. Memories resurfaced. In those quiet moments before commencement, the weight of how far they had come settled in.

Then came the walk. Step by step, the seniors made their way through the Lower School hallways, greeted by a clap-out from the faculty and staff who had helped guide, encourage, and believe in them throughout their Oakridge journey.

For many of these students, those same hallways once held first-day jitters and tiny backpacks. Today, they held pride, gratitude, reflection, and excitement for the future ahead. This moment was more than the start of a graduation ceremony. It was the closing chapter of one story and the beginning of another.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! Graduation Part One. Once an Owl, Always an Owl. πŸ’™πŸ’š
